Chainlink Activates U.S. Stock Data on 37 Blockchains
- Chainlink Integrates U.S. Stocks into 37 Blockchain Networks
- Real-time data stream includes SPY, QQQ, and AAPL
- Infrastructure favors tokenized stocks and synthetic ETFs
Chainlink announced the launch Data Streams, a new product that delivers real-time data streams on US stocks and ETFs directly to 37 blockchains. The solution is already live and includes data on popular assets such as SPY, QQQ, NVDA, AAPL, and MSFT, enabling decentralized finance applications with high accuracy and low latency.
According to the company, the data is aggregated from primary and secondary sources, processed by its decentralized oracle networks (DONs), and delivered on-chain in a standardized format. Each published data item is timestamped, allowing platforms to determine the validity of the information and suspend trading outside of traditional market hours.
This approach enables the creation of advanced financial products such as tokenized stocks, perpetual contracts, synthetic ETFs, lending systems, and various DeFi applications that require reliable, real-time market data.
“This is a significant step forward for tokenized markets — closing a critical gap between traditional finance and blockchain infrastructure”
said Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink.
With the real-world asset (RWA) sector projected to reach $30 trillion by 2030, Chainlink is positioned as a key player in providing secure and scalable infrastructure for this emerging market. Data Streams was developed specifically to meet the demand for integration between traditional markets and blockchain networks, fostering the creation of more robust financial ecosystems.
Prominent projects such as GMX and Kamino Finance have already adopted the new tool. For Thomas Short, co-founder of Kamino, Data Streams enhances the user experience with a fluid interface and ensures confidence in the protocols' performance. "The launch of Data Streams for US stocks and ETFs is a critical milestone toward a truly composable onchain financial system that matches the scale and sophistication of traditional markets," he stated.

During his speech at the All-In Summit in Los Angeles, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang received a call from Trump and put it on speaker. Trump dismissed the dangers of AI as a "scam" and compared data centers to "the oil of the next twenty or thirty years," claiming their importance "exceeds that of the internet." Jensen Huang immediately expressed agreement, stating that he "won't let (an AI slowdown) happen." However, these strong statements failed to boost the market, as Nvidia's stock fell by 3.4% that day, with tech stocks overall trending lower.
