Anthropic cuts off OpenAI’s API access to Claude
According to a report by Jinse Finance, The Information stated that Anthropic cut off OpenAI’s access to Claude via its application programming interface (API) on Friday. An Anthropic spokesperson explained that this move was due to OpenAI “using our coding tools ahead of the GPT-5 release,” which violated Anthropic’s terms of service. These terms prohibit the use of Anthropic’s AI technology to develop competing AI models.
