Cardano hits 111 million transactions as Reeve connects to accounting
Cardano (CRYPTO:ADA) is advancing its shift towards professional use cases with the launch of Reeve, an open-source platform designed to add verifiability to accounting flows without disrupting existing enterprise systems.
Reeve acts as middleware, integrating seamlessly between enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as NetSuite and the Cardano blockchain.
Each Java module, built using the Spring-Modulith architecture, operates independently, allowing businesses to adopt Reeve without overhauling their current infrastructure.
Reeve’s purpose is to add a layer of transparency, turning each accounting entry into cryptographic proof.
“Reeve does not just record financial data; it forges an immutable and transparent ledger.” according to the Cardano Foundation.
This approach enables companies to maintain their internal systems while improving compliance and auditability.
The blockchain becomes an invisible but essential component of business operations, providing what Cardano describes as a “plug-and-proof” solution.
Reeve aims to make accounting verifiable by default, transforming each transaction into public, unmodifiable proof.
This shift allows for real-time audits, reducing the need for traditional, time-consuming end-of-year reviews.
“Recording transactions on the blockchain, immutable and tamper-proof, creates a verifiable trail of financial activities.” the Cardano Foundation notes.
Reeve is tailored for accountants, auditors, and compliance professionals, offering a system where entries are tamper-proof and ready for automated verification.
This development gives Cardano’s ADA token a practical utility, moving it beyond its speculative reputation.
For audit firms, Reeve changes the focus from error detection to documentation of existing proofs, increasing traceability and reducing manual intervention.
In a regulatory environment shaped by ESG and compliance requirements, Reeve provides an inviolable register for sustainability reporting and public spending.
At the time of reporting, Cardano price was $0.6281.
