Polygon Founder Announces Full Reinstatement of Foundation Leadership, Gradual Phase-Out of Polygon zkEVM, and Focus on Polygon PoS and AggLayer
Polygon founder Sandeep Nailwal announced on X that, as the largest holder of POL and someone who has been dedicated to Polygon’s success from the very beginning, he has decided to personally take on the role of CEO of the Polygon Foundation, taking full charge of the ecosystem’s strategic restructuring. Polygon Labs, under the foundation, will continue to be led by Marc Boiron as CEO.
Sandeep also stated that Polygon will gradually phase out zkEVM next year, focusing its efforts on Polygon PoS (with an emphasis on stablecoin payments and RWA) and AggLayer (building a trustless blockchain internet).
