Data: U.S. stocks open, S&P 500 index falls 0.19%
According to Jinshi reports, U.S. stocks opened with the Dow Jones down 0.06%; the S&P 500 index down 0.19%; the Nasdaq down 0.26%; Gap (GAP.N) fell 18%, as the company warned that Trump's trade measures would erode its annual operating profit. The Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index fell 1.93%.
Technology stocks generally declined, with Alibaba (BABA.N) down 2%; Tesla (TSLA.O) down 0.39%.
