CryptoQuant CEO: Strategy purchases faster than Bitcoin mining and gains deflationary advantage
On May 10th, CryptoQuant founder and CEO Ki Young Ju stated in a post on X platform that Bitcoin is experiencing deflation. The speed at which Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) is purchasing Bitcoin is now faster than the mining speed of Bitcoin. They hold about 555,000 Bitcoins, which are in a illiquid state with no plans to sell. This means that Strategy's Bitcoin holdings could experience a deflation rate of -2.23% annually, which may be higher than the deflation rate of Bitcoins held by other stable institutional holders.
