Aptos User Growth Rapid but Short-lived

The number of active addresses on the Aptos blockchain hit a yearly low of 644,000 in January, down more than 40% from the February 2023 peak, indicating that new user growth is mainly driven by non-sticky users such as bots, token farms, and short-term speculators. The price of the APT token dropped 35% during the same period.
