JPMorgan Chase raises the probability of a US economic recession to 40%
PANews reported on March 11 that economists from Wall Street investment bank JPMorgan Chase have raised the risk of a US economic recession this year from 30% at the beginning of 2025 to 40%. Analysts wrote: "Due to extreme policies in the United States, we believe there is a high risk of the country falling into recession this year." Previously, it was reported that Morgan Stanley's economists lowered their expectations for US economic growth last week and raised inflation expectations. The bank predicts that by 2025, the US GDP growth rate will be only 1.5%, and will drop to 1.2% in 2026. Goldman Sachs' economists also increased their probability of an economic recession over the next twelve months from 15% to 20%.
