Barely minutes after X and Tesla CEO Elon Musk changed his official ‘X’ account username to “Harry Bolz” (a suggestive innuendo), there has been a barrage of memecoins launched by the same name on Solana blockchain. As per estimated calculation, over 200 memecoins were launched under the name of Harry Bolz in less than 30 minutes on Pump.Fun, however, none of them have been officially endorsed by Musk.
On Tuesday afternoon, x users noticed a bizarre name change of tech mogul Elon Musk on X to Harry Bolz, a fictitious name that suggestively refers to “hairy balls”. Incidentally, this is not the first time Elon has changed his X username to Harry Bolz as back in 2023, he did the same. Minutes after his X username was changed, a memecoin by the name of “Harry Bolz” was launched on pump.fun that gained an astonishing 17,000% within 30 minutes with $3.68 million as market cap.
However, a cursory glance at the pump.fun platform shows over 200 memecoins launched within the last 60 minutes going by the name “Harry Bolz”. However, it is imperative to note that Musk has not officially endorsed any memecoin yet nor has he given the reason behind change in X username. Memecoins have little to no utility value and their price is usually based on pure hype and market gimmicks.
