President Trump informed Republican lawmakers that he plans to announce a retaliatory tariff policy as early as Friday, Reuters reports. During his previous campaign, Trump promised to impose retaliatory tariffs on U.S. imports at rates equal to those imposed by trading partners on U.S. exports. The White House has not yet responded to a request for comment.
