Trump Media Registers Bitcoin ETFs and Investments in Strategic US Sectors
- Trump Media launches ETFs focused on Bitcoin and energy independence.
- Partnership with Charles Schwab and Yorkville Advisors strengthens new products.
- Initiative aligns with the economic policy of the MAGA campaign.
Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG), led by former U.S. President Donald Trump, is expanding its financial markets efforts with the launch of a series of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and separately managed accounts (SMAs) under the Truth.Fi brand. These investment products will focus American manufacturing, US energy independence, and Bitcoin adoption.
At the time of publication, the price of Bitcoin was quoted at US$96.592,18 with a drop of 1.4% in the last 24 hours.
On February 6, 2025, TMTG announced the registration of trademarks for six financial products: Truth.Fi Made in America ETF, Truth.Fi Made in America SMA, Truth.Fi US Energy Independence ETF, Truth.Fi US Energy Independence SMA, Truth.Fi Bitcoin Plus ETF, and Truth.Fi Bitcoin Plus SMA. The goal is to provide investors with options that align with the principles of the “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) campaign, encouraging manufacturing growth, energy autonomy, and Bitcoin investment.
According to Devin Nunes, president and CEO of TMTG, the new funds will provide investors with an alternative to “woke funds” and help combat the unbanking issues in parts of the market. “We are exploring a variety of ways to differentiate our products, including Bitcoin-related strategies,” Nunes said.
The Truth.Fi funds will have an initial investment of up to $250 million, under custody of Charles Schwab. New Jersey-based Yorkville Advisors will be the registered investment adviser for the new products.
TMTG, founded in 2021, went public in March 2024, with its shares trading on Nasdaq. The company seeks to establish itself in the financial sector by offering products aimed at the growth of American industry, energy independence and the expansion of the cryptocurrency market.
The launch of the ETFs comes amid political discussions about cryptocurrency regulation in the United States. Former President Trump has already stated that he intends to create a favorable environment for the expansion of the sector. On February 4, Republican leaders in Congress announced the formation of a task force focused on regulating cryptocurrencies and stablecoins.
The SEC is also considering regulatory changes for the sector. Commissioner Hester Peirce recently stated that she intends to review the actions taken by the previous administration against the crypto market. According to Peirce, the White House task force recommended that the SEC grant temporary and retroactive relief to some coin and token offerings that were affected by previous policies.
With these moves, TMTG seeks to position itself as a reference in investments aligned with the “America First” movement, offering new opportunities for investors interested in Bitcoin and the American economy.
