Chicago Mercantile Exchange: The average daily trading volume of mini Bitcoin and Ethereum futures in January increased by more than 200% year-on-year
PANews reported on February 6, according to PRNewswire, that the derivatives market CME Group announced its January 2025 market statistics, revealing that the number of futures on its platform reached 27.5 million, with an average daily volume (ADV) increasing by 2% year-on-year.
In terms of cryptocurrencies, in January, CME Group's cryptocurrency futures reached 198,000 (with a nominal value of $13.6 billion). Among them, the average daily trading volume of micro Bitcoin futures increased by 255% year-on-year to 84,000; and the average daily trading volume of micro Ethereum futures increased by 223% year-on-year to 69,000.
