ARK Invest Report: Stablecoin transaction volume to reach $15.6 trillion by 2024, surpassing Visa and Mastercard
According to a report by Golden Finance, ARK Invest stated in its "Big Ideas 2025" report that stablecoins are one of the fastest-growing sectors in the digital asset field. Despite experiencing a two-year bear market and over 70% drop in market value, the growth momentum of stablecoins remains unaffected. In 2024, the transaction volume reached $15.6 trillion, which is approximately 119% and 200% of Visa's and Mastercard's transaction volumes respectively. The monthly number of stablecoin transactions reached 110 million times, only accounting for 0.41% and 0.72% of Visa's and Mastercard's processed transactions respectively. In other words, the amount per stablecoin transaction is much higher than that of Visa or Mastercard.
