Google's new policy is about to take effect, requiring crypto ads targeting the UK to register with the FCA
Google's new advertising policy update will take effect in January 2025, requiring Google ads promoting digital asset exchanges and wallets in the UK to be registered with the country's financial services regulator. It stated that from January 15, 2025, advertisers offering cryptocurrency exchange products and services in the UK will be allowed to advertise if they meet certain requirements. For cryptocurrency exchanges and software wallets, if these products are already registered with the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Google will allow them to advertise for promotion.
