Sui ecosystem accelerates expansion: USDC integration, mainnet upgrade, Bitcoin liquidity introduction

On December 5th, Phantom Wallet announced its support for the Sui blockchain, which is the fourth Layer 1 public chain supported after Solana, Bitcoin, and Ethereum. On the same day, Copper announced the integration of USDC into the Sui Network, providing enterprise-level hosting services for the Sui DeFi ecosystem.

 

On December 7th, the Sui mainnet was upgraded to version 1.38.3, and the protocol was updated to version 69 simultaneously. The key points of this upgrade include optimizing consensus fast path voting, adding TLS support for the gRPC interface of verification nodes, and removing Deepbook indexer-related endpoints.

 

In addition, on December 4th, Lorenzo Protocol announced a strategic partnership with Cetus and NAVI Protocol to introduce Bitcoin liquidity into the Sui network under the promotion of Babylon Labs. Lorenzo has completed integration with NAVI and Cetus, and stBTC has become the first profit-oriented Bitcoin asset on Sui.

 

Driven by multiple favorable factors, the Sui ecosystem is rapidly improving and demonstrating its potential to become a top Layer 1 public chain.
