According to Cointelegraph, Telegram founder Pavel Durov was questioned for the first time in a Paris court on December 6 about a legal case involving allegations that the Telegram app facilitated criminal activity.

Durov appeared in court at 10 am local time, accompanied by lawyers David-Olivier Kaminski and Christophe Ingrain.

An anonymous source familiar with the matter said that the focus of the questioning was on allegations related to Telegram possibly being used for illegal transactions. Pavel Durov expressed his trust in the French judicial system but declined to elaborate on the details of the case.
