Due to the impact of the US election and daylight saving time, the Federal Reserve will announce its interest rate decision at 03:00 on November 8 (Friday) Singapore time.
As per convention, the Federal Reserve holds interest rate meetings on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and announces decisions in the early hours of Thursday Singapore time. However, this coincides with the US election voting, so the Fed's interest rate meeting has been postponed by one day. The 2024 US election voting will start at 13:00 on November 5 (Tuesday) Singapore time.
