Indian man sentenced to 5 years in prison for defrauding $20 million by impersonating Coinbase website
A US court sentenced 31-year-old Indian man Chirag Tomar to 5 years in prison and two years of supervised release after serving his sentence. Tomar stole over $20 million by impersonating the Coinbase cryptocurrency exchange website. Tomar has admitted to telecommunications fraud and will serve his sentence in a federal prison.
