Tether Report: USDT On-chain Users Exceed 330 Million

Tether announced that as of the end of the third quarter of 2024, 330 million on-chain wallets and accounts (user agents) had received USDT, with each quarter adding more new users than the previous one. The average growth rate over the past four quarters was 9%. The third quarter of 2024 was the fastest growing quarter to date, with 36.25 million users. Tether stated that USDT is most commonly used on Tron, Binance Smart Chain, and Ethereum, with the fastest growth in the past year coming from Ethereum Layer2: Optimism, Arbitrum, and Polygon, as well as Avalanche and Solana. USDT has experienced explosive growth on TON, adding 3.3 million users in just six months, accounting for 1% of all USDT on-chain users.
