The communication platform Status will launch the Layer 2 network, Status Network
The open-source communication platform Status, based on Ethereum, is collaborating with Linea, supported by Consensys, to launch a Layer2 rollup solution. In 2017, Status raised $100 million through its native SNT token ICO. Meanwhile, Linea was launched last year and is a zkEVM Layer 2 blockchain supported by the blockchain development company Consensys. The two parties are jointly developing a Layer 2 network called StatusNetwork that will run parallel to Linea's zkEVM chain. CyprienGrau, a core contributor of Status said: By launching the StatusNetwork, we envision creating the infrastructure needed for a thriving ecosystem of decentralized applications and services. Additionally, contributors from Status will interact with Linea's open-source code and actively participate in managing its codebase to maintain a parallel version.
