Slovenia has become the first EU member state to issue a €30 million ($32.5 million) sovereign digital bond settled on-chain through the Bank of France's tokenized cash system as part of the ECB's experimental program for monetary settlements. The four-month note, which matures on Nov. 25, carries a coupon rate of 3.65 percent. The Slovenian government said the settlement was made on Thursday in a wholesale central bank digital currency (CBDC).
