Golden Finance reported that Peter Schiff, a long-time skeptic of Bitcoin and a supporter of gold, warned that the halving will not necessarily lead to the long-awaited price increase. The halving event may ultimately fail to bring expected benefits, causing Bitcoin holders' net worth to be "halved," meaning a price drop.
