CICC Research Report: Powell's speech conveys dovish message, confirming interest rates have reached their peak

The CICC research report pointed out that the speech by Federal Reserve Chairman Powell conveyed a more dovish message than the market expected. This is mainly reflected in:

1) Confirming that interest rates have reached their peak, and maintaining the forecast of three rate cuts within the year;

2) Believing that inflation exceeding expectations at the beginning of the year was just a minor setback, possibly due to seasonal adjustments;

3) Strong employment alone is not enough to delay rate cuts.
