Head of Research at CoinShares: Massive new inflows from registered investment advisors in the coming months may trigger a surge in demand for Bitcoin
CoinShares research director James Butterfill stated that in the coming months, a large influx of new funds from registered investment advisers may trigger a surge in demand for Bitcoin. Butterfill further pointed out that spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have not yet been offered to the RIA market, but with the opening of the RIA market, there may be a large influx of investment. Currently, only investment advisory firm Carsen Group allows for spot Bitcoin ETF trading. Given that the RIA market represents approximately $50 trillion in assets, potential inflows of funds could be enormous. The Bitcoin market is currently exhibiting a dynamic of increasing demand and decreasing supply. Newly minted Bitcoin supply cannot keep up with demand, and ETF issuers must primarily purchase Bitcoin from the secondary market.
