MakerDAO plans to launch the first phase of "Endgame" in summer, introducing a new token and conducting an airdrop of SPK tokens
MakerDAO founder Rune Christensen announced on his governance forum that the first phase of the "Endgame" plan will kick off in the summer of 2024, including new tokens, SubDAOs, token economics, a new brand and new user acquisition channels. The aim is to achieve exponential growth in DAI usage through the interaction of these elements. The first phase of "Endgame" will last for one month during which a new brand will be launched and early users who register can receive additional benefits. Two newly launched tokens NewStable and NewGovToken along with existing DAI and MKR tokens will coexist to support new features in the ecosystem. A new Lockstake Engine (LSE) will then go live to encourage long-term participation in governance. The first phase also sees the launch of NewBridge connecting Ethereum mainnet with major Layer 2 networks as well as initiating Maker's first SubDAO - Spark's airdrop event. This plan aims to promote ecosystem growth and activity by providing opportunities for liquidity mining with new tokens, reward systems, and community governance structures. In addition, Christensen revealed three subsequent phases of the "Endgame" plan: scaling up, launching NewChain and reaching its final stage.
