Fed forecasts 0.3% rise in core PCE in January
Fed sounding board Nick Timiraos says that forecasters who translate CPI into PCE are now tracking core PCE for January, which is expected to rise 0.3%, which would bring the 12-month growth rate down to 2.7%. But those forecasts are preliminary and could change after Friday's PPI data.
