On February 11th, the well-known NFT whale and trader Franklin bought the gold monkey Bored Ape Yacht Club #1726 that he had been using as his avatar since May 1, 2021 for a price of 4 ETH. He sold it on February 9, 2024 for 275 ETH (approximately $670,000), achieving a return on investment of 67 times. Franklin commented on this transaction on social media: "An era has ended."
