NEAR supports users to create NEAR accounts and directly sign transactions in MetaMask through NEAR Snap

NEAR is now compatible with the Web3 wallet MetaMask, allowing users to create NEAR accounts within the MetaMask wallet, directly sign NEAR protocol transactions, and use many other features through NEAR Snap.

 

NEAR Snap was developed by HERE Wallet (led by Petr Volnov and Andrey Zhevlakov) and supported by Banyan Collective. As part of its ongoing development, the NEAR developer community plans to develop BOS components that implement similar web wallet functions through a set of different gateways, not only for NEAR Snaps but also for other wallets in the ecosystem.
