Fake Ledger App on Microsoft Store Steals Over $767,000 in Crypto
Over $767,000 worth of cryptocurrency has been stolen after unsuspecting customers downloaded a fake Ledger crypto wallet management app from the Microsoft App Store. The malicious app resulted in the theft of 16.8 Bitcoin, as well as over $180,000 in Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain. Microsoft has since removed the fake app from the store, but counterfeit or malicious apps have been an ongoing issue for the company.
