Crypto-Friendly Congressman Tom Emmer Wins Nomination as Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives
On October 25th, it was announced that Tom Emmer, a cryptocurrency-friendly Republican representative from Minnesota, has been nominated for Speaker of the United States House of Representatives. However, Emmer must receive at least 217 Republican votes in the House to be officially elected. It is reported that Emmer has expressed support for digital assets on many occasions and opposes the mandatory regulatory methods of the SEC and its chairman, Gary Gensler.
