02:31 PM EDT, 09/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Eversource Energy's (ES) joint Transmission Initiative Down East project has been chosen by ISO New England to meet regional needs, the company said Wednesday. The project, which includes the integration of up to 1,200 megawatts of future onshore wind generation in northern New England into the regional grid, still requires extensive engineering, environmental, permitting and regulatory reviews, according to a statement.
