04:57 AM EDT, 09/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms (META) is looking to launch camera-free smart glasses this fall to expand its product portfolio amid privacy concerns over the existing glasses' camera, The Information reported Tuesday, citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter. The new glasses is internally called Luna and could be launched at the company's upcoming Connect developer conference, with shipments targeted for October, one of the sources told the news outlet. Two of the sources said Meta also plans to unveil new augmented reality glasses at the conference, the report added. Meta Platforms did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for a comment.
