Over 300 Million XRP In 96 Hours. Here’s What Whales Just Did

XRP is now trading at $1.30 following a recent big jump as large holders continue to increase their positions. Crypto analyst Ali Martinez has now reported another significant accumulation trend, saying on X that whales have scooped up more than 300 million XRP within just 96 hours.

The figure adds to a series of recent on-chain developments showing increased activity among some of the network’s largest holders.

The latest data comes as XRP remains below its previous highs and traders continue to monitor whether large-holder accumulation can translate into stronger price action.

Ali Charts Highlights Heavy XRP Accumulation

In his post, Ali Charts wrote, “XRP WHALES GO CRAZY!” before stating that more than 300 million XRP had been accumulated by whales over 96 hours.

The reported accumulation is significant because large holders can materially influence available supply when they move tokens into wallets that are not actively selling. Recent data has also shown continued accumulation among XRP’s largest holders. Earlier in August, reports citing Santiment data indicated that whales accumulated more than 380 million XRP over a week, taking their combined holdings above 8.1 billion XRP.

XRP Remains Near a Key Price Level

The accumulation comes as XRP continues to trade in an important technical area. Ali Charts has previously identified $1.06 as a key level for XRP. According to his analysis, holding above that level could open potential targets around $1.35 and $1.64, while losing it could expose the token to lower levels around $0.80 and $0.62.

That makes the reported whale activity particularly relevant. Continued purchases near current prices could indicate that some large holders are positioning for a recovery. However, accumulation alone does not confirm that XRP will move higher immediately.

Large Transfers Require Careful Interpretation

On-chain accumulation data also requires context. Large XRP transfers can involve exchange reorganizations, custodial movements, internal wallet transfers, or over-the-counter transactions. Therefore, a rise in whale balances does not automatically mean that every token represents a fresh open-market purchase.

There is also a risk associated with concentrated holdings. If large holders later distribute significant portions of their XRP near resistance levels, selling pressure could increase quickly.

Still, the reported 300 million XRP accumulation adds to a pattern of large-holder activity. With XRP trading near the $1 region and whale balances continuing to rise, traders will likely watch whether this accumulation persists and whether XRP can reclaim the $1.06 level that Ali Charts has identified as an important price threshold. I can also create an image explaining the XRP whale accumulation and key price levels.
