Samsung Foundry recently updated its technology roadmap at the SAFE Forum 2026, adjusting the mass production timeline for the 1.4nm process node. It is now scheduled for mass production in 2029, which is about one year later than TSMC (with TSMC’s A14 expected to enter mass production as planned in 2028). Originally, Samsung Foundry announced in 2022 that its 2nm process would be mass-produced in 2025 and its 1.4nm process in 2027.
