Crypto stocks, including Strategy (MSTR), Bitmine (BMNR), Coinbase (COIN), and Circle Internet (CRCL), are all up more than 10% on Wednesday. The jump comes as President Donald Trump is hosting top crypto executives at the White House today, just after the SEC revealed friendlier U.S. rules for the industry. Bitcoin’s sharp move higher added more fuel to the rally.

New SEC Plan Gives Crypto Firms Clearer Fundraising Paths

The Trump administration has supported friendlier rules for the crypto industry, leading to the SEC’s new “Regulation Crypto Assets” plan. This plan, proposed yesterday, gives crypto firms clearer ways to raise money and offers safe zones for digital assets, giving U.S. companies more policy clarity than ever.

The plan creates two ways for companies to raise money without doing a full Securities Act registration. The first lets a company make a one‑time offering of up to $5 million over four years. The second allows companies to raise up to $75 million every year, but those using the larger option must provide financial statements and keep up with ongoing reporting rules.

At the same time, Trump is meeting with digital asset and technology leaders at the White House alongside SEC Chair Paul Atkins and other financial regulators. This adds more optimism around future policy.

Bitcoin Pops on Liquidity Boost and White House Buzz

Bitcoin’s rally is adding fuel to the rally. It surged over 7% to cross the $68,000 level, hitting intra-day highs near $69,500 on Wednesday. The move was aided by a sudden liquidity injection from the U.S. Treasury and the upcoming discussions at the White House.

The Treasury said it will double the size of its long‑end bond buybacks from $2 billion to $4 billion per operation starting September 9. The surprise move boosted market liquidity and sent long‑dated Treasury yields sharply lower, giving risk assets a strong lift.
