  1. Despite some investor concerns triggered by bond market sell-offs, institutional technical strategists believe the current situation does not constitute a crisis moment for the stock market. While the Dow Jones Industrial Average has shown some weakness recently, it has reached a structural support zone. The upward trend since March remains intact, and a short-term bottom is likely to be established this week.
  2. Market breadth indicators remain resilient. The Russell 3000 McClellan Summation Index continues to move sideways close to its June peak and has not exhibited the sharp declines that typically signal a major pullback. About two-thirds of the components are trading above their 200-day moving average, and more than half are above their 50-day moving average, suggesting the internal market structure is showing no signs of breakdown.
  3. In the credit market, high-yield bonds continue to outperform investment-grade bonds, with risk appetite indicators still positive. The relevant ratios are at the lower end of their range since 2022, rather than turning upward. The financial sector is performing robustly, and a steepening yield curve is supporting this sector. Typically, financial stocks weaken first when the market truly shifts towards risk-off, but the current trend is the opposite.
  4. The volatility structure also shows no signs of extreme stress. Strategists believe that, under current conditions, a stock market pullback will be limited in magnitude and duration. They suggest treating the recent weakness as a buying opportunity rather than a warning sign, and expect the market to once again challenge new highs. Key areas of focus will be the path of long-term interest rates, crude oil prices, and whether the technology sector can maintain its prior rebound gains.
